Chewy, Chocolatey, Chocolate Chip Cookies

A while back I made several items to contribute to the Company's bake sale. I of course made my sugar cookies with a Spring time color twist, a batch of s'mores bars (I'll add that recipe later), and these delicious chocolate chip cookies. They are so addictive and at a batch of about three dozen be careful leaving these in the house.

Ingredients

2 cups of all-purpose flour

1/2 teaspoons of baking soda

1/2 teaspoons of salt

3/4 of a cup unsalted butter, melted and slightly cooled

1 cup of packed brown sugar

1/2 of a cup of white sugar

1 egg

1 egg yolk

1 tablespoon of vanilla extract

2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Directions

Preheat the oven to 325 degrees

Line your baking sheet with parchment paper

Sift together the flour, baking soda

In a separate bowl cream together the melted butter, brown sugar, and white sugar

Beat in the vanilla, egg, and egg yolk until light in color and creamy in texture

Add your sifted ingredients into the wet mixture until slightly blended

Using a wooden spoon add in the chocolate chips

With a medium cookie scoop begin creating balls of dough

Evenly space on your sheet allowing room for spreading

Bake for 10 minutes

Cookies should be light golden brown, with crisp edges and puffy centers

Take care not over bake

Allow each batch to cool on a wire rack

I hope y'all enjoy these bad boys as much as we did.
